Known Issues:

  1. The SpacePlanning.rfa families will need to match fill color properties with the project you are creating. i.e. Blue, Grey, Green, etc. will need to be in the family and created manually in the project material list.  Users have found it helpful to change the names to “Color-Blue, Color-Green, etc…” for easier searching in the Revit material browser.
  2. Generic Model Element Tag_2016 is included and is functional if you know how shared parameters work.
  3. The attached Excel spreadsheet is formated in such a way that any deviation, including empty cells, will cause it to fail.  Change quantities to ZERO (0) if you want to skip over that room. Excel File: Room Schedule_ArchMachines
  4. Custom parameters (project or shared, your choice) will need to be created in your Revit file. Any further parameters you want to add will also need to be added in the excel file and Dynamo definition.
    1. Department
    2. Room Name

The simple modification to this script will allow equipment to be placed in a similar style to space families.
